Role:

The role of Studio Assistant will provide administrative support to Studio Director, including:

  • Monitoring schedules
  • Processing/chasing orders
  • Processing/chasing estimates
  • Processing/chasing internal team deadlines
  • Freelance resource coordination
  • Managing studio supplies
  • Archive maintenance
  • Packing, labelling and shipping consignments worldwide

 

The role will develop as follows:

  • Managing a project through the studio from briefing to completion – taking client briefs from project teams, consolidating requirements, assigning studio resources, managing output and deadlines
  • Maintaining and implementing workflow and project management processes to promote a smooth, efficient project lifecycle through the studio
  • Reviewing daily resource and workload schedules, booking freelancers
  • Creating estimates for print projects, liaising with external suppliers, maintaining production timelines
  • Keeping everyone up to date on a projects status – stakeholders and the project teams
  • Quality control – of work processing through the studio and with external print suppliers
  • Managing international distribution of completed print projects

Duties and skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Maintain high standards of clear and consistent communication with team members and editorial/account management staff
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Able to work in a busy design studio environment with competing deadlines
  • An interest in the Creative environment would help but is not a requirement

Your primary responsibilities will include: copywriting, developing content for, editing and fact-checking faculty slides for satellite symposia and conferences; managing content onsite at events; developing and editing content on digital media projects; proof-reading; and developing and maintaining relationships with physician advisors and faculty members.  Willingness to travel and good PowerPoint skills are essential.

This position will suit a highly organised individual, with a keen eye for detail, the ability to portray complex scientific data accurately and clearly, and excellent communication skills – displaying a confident approach and team focus. Proven copywriting experience would be advantageous.

The role is part of the Creative team, problem solving, answering client briefs and delivering the best possible solutions in terms of creativity and quality: on-time and on-budget.

You will have a keen eye for detail and develop a strategic approach for all projects however large or small.

Excellent communication skills are required – being able to brief junior designers and artworkers, as well as communicate your ideas well to both in-house Account Managers and external clients.

A keen eye for typography is essential. Whether you are designing a brand, a digital app, or laying-out a poster or PowerPoint presentation you will have the ability to check your own work.

You will have a keen eye for artwork accuracy, grids, legible spacing, understanding of a hierarchy in all communication pieces, widows and orphans; to produce at all times, great communications.

You will liaise with Implementation and Production to ensure the best possible outcome. You will be aware of printing and production techniques and digital solutions and aim to achieve the best standards within the budgets set.
